British Press Awards
British Press Awards
The Press Gazette British Press Awards have for more than 30 years celebrated the best of Fleet Street journalism.
They remain the most rigorously and openly judged journalism awards of any in the country. The judging process involves more than 100 of the UK’s leading journalists – made up of a mixture of independent figures from across the industry and representatives of all the UK national titles.
Winning a British Press Award is justly seen as the crowning achievement of any journalist’s career – and just being shortlisted is to be set among the elite of the profession.
This year’s event is being held at the Grosvenor Hotel on Tuesday, 31 March, and will again be hosted by Channel 4’s Jon Snow.
Director of the Society of Editors Bob Satchwell is the new independent chairman of the judges.
