For the third year winners will be presented with a limited edition trophy that has been specially created for the British Press Awards by British sculptor Petroc Dragon Sesti who says, “the idea behind the award was to animate and energise a piece of paper and capture its movement in a state of metallic permanence.”

Sesti studied sculpture at the Chelsea and Byam Shaw Schools of Art in London and has exhibited in the capital as well as New York, Belgium and Italy. He exhibited at Sudeley Castle in June 2006, and in a solo show for two months at the Kinetica Museum in London. Tonight’s award winners will be amongst esteemed collectors of Sesti’s work including Mario Testino, Donna Karan, Alan Rickman and Gillian Anderson.

Sesti is represented by Mollie Dent-Brocklehurst and can be contacted at dragonfly@virgin.net.
